Audi has officially unveiled the smallest model in their S sports range, based on the A1. Whether we are talking about a three door version or the five door model, both have a 2.0 TFSI engine with a whooping 231 hp and both benefit from all wheel drive.
Audi S1 Sportback and the S1 is the surprise from the Germans for this week, the two body versions of the smallest S model are presented on the same day.
The 2.0 TFSI engine equipping the S1 and S1 Sportback ensures acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds for the three-door body, and 5.9 seconds for five-door body. Maximum speed in both cases is 250 km/h, while fuel consumption is 7.0 and 7.1 litter per 100 km respectively .
Audi will offer the new S1 and S1 Sportback from the second quarter of this year. On the German market , the models go for around 30.000 euros, according to Audi representatives. In addition to standard amenities that go beyond the basic equipment of the Audi A1, customers can order the MMI navigation plus system with retractable display, Bose sound system, onboard Wi-Fi hotspot and more.
