We talked about the new Ford Focus 2015 last week, told you all about the new design and technology and gadgets and all. Just felt the need to come with an update, as we felt we did not do it justice with just a few photos.
So we’ve prepared a more extensive photo gallery of the new Focus so you can have a better look at what’s going to fill the streets of both Europe and the USA.
Oh, but before we get to the photos, here’s a little video from Ford, a making of the new Focus 2015. It has a little Apple-ish touch to it, but I guess it’s the trend now.

The Ford Focus 2015 will be present at the Geneva 2014 Motor Show that’s starting in March this year, a few days from now.
Ford unveiled today the new Ford Focus facelift. It comes with a design inspired by the Fiesta and Mondeo and packs a lot of innovative technologies for the compact segment.
Focus, the best selling model for last year, with a whooping 1.1 million customers, is ready for reinvention in order to retain the first step on the podium in 2014 for the third consecutive year. This is a substantial facelift, covering all aspects.
Design inspired by Fiesta and interior created by customers
Designers have reduced the number of buttons and placed them more intuitive .
The design is fresh , with a front that fits the new design philosophy we see in Ford Fiesta and Ford Mondeo. Specifically, the new Focus 2015 adopts large trapezoidal grille, comes with a new spoiler and lower repositioned projectors. The headlights have not escaped the redesign and are now sharper, angular , and have the same LED wand in the upper part. The rear side received new muscular lines on the tailgate. We have chrome trims meant to suggest more elegance and LED lights for the tail lights.
In building the interior of the new Focus Inside the new Focus, ford considered the public feedback, thus the designers have reduced the number of buttons and placed them more intuitively. Ergonomics has improved, the steering seems somewhat airy and the multimedia system is driven by a completely new model that deletes the current monotony .
Ford promises better materials , a softer, more shiny plastic and chrome insertions.
8 inch touch screen
The dashboard is refreshed by an 8-inch touch screen part of the second generation Sync2 multimedia system. It is the novelty that Ford clients were expecting, after most compact models come with colour touch screen even in the standard version (see Volkswagen Golf and Mazda3).
The touchscreen offers easy access to air conditioning controls, the audio system, navigation and phone.
The main feature that Ford wants to focus on is the voice control . It can call numbers from the phonebook, you can select a specific song, you can adjust the temperature, can enter the destination for the navigation system. Furthermore, if it hears you say the word “hungry”, the system will provide a number of restaurants you might want to visit nearby.
When connected to a mobile phone, Sync 2 can read incoming messages on your phone and even can respond with predefined SMS . The new multimedia system is available in nine languages.
Automatic parking system
At the level of safety features , Focus leads the pack with new technologies. Among them and Perpendicular Parking, a feature that helps parking between two vehicles.
Also a first in the list is the distance restraints Alert, which allows you to select a distance to vehicles in front of you and will warn the driver when it is not respected.
The 2015 Ford Focus also benefits from the new MyKey system that allows establishing predefined parameters for instance when the children get to drive your car. There’s a cool Door Edge Protection to avoid slamming your doors into stuff in the parking lot, Emergency Assist that automatically dials 112 in case of an emergency and provides details and coordinates.
All in all the new Ford Focus 2015 is packed with goodies from a geek point of view.

The Ford Focus RS is already the high-flyer in the class of compact sports. 305 hp tickle the Cologne from 2.5-liter turbo, as can a Golf R only hide. Of course, everyone is supplied with a plaque along with Focus RS500 serial number. Ford served exactly two extras: full leather Recaro in bright red and a touchscreen Navi.
