Is the Golf GTI too expensive? No problem: slim and sharp, the VW Polo GTI get’s out in May 2010 from the runway. Premiere of the small 180-horsepower car at the Geneva Motor Show 2010.
The new VW Polo GTI, which gets out at the end of May 2010 will certainly do some damage in the small class. It’s a well equipped compact car, uses clever classic GTI insignias. Red trim flank the grille, the large nostrils wear inserts in honeycomb structure, improves the rear, a spoiler (body color) the downforce. These wider sills, roof antenna, red-painted brake calipers, rear apron with diffuser, and pseudo-chrome twin tailpipes on the left – looks quite officially made by GTI.
Also inside. Sports seats in familiar checkerboard pattern.
It’s really the best looking Polo that they made so far. I’m not a fan of small cars, but hay, this could actually get you somewhere without constantly feeling trapped. It has an 180 horsepower 1.4 liter engine with direct fuel injection. It’s pretty light, weighing about 1.2 tons. If you have the 6.9 seconds to spear, the Polo will take you from 0-100 Km/h, and you get a top speed off 229 Km/h. Not bad for a Polo… right?
The fact that VW still make a work of consumption of 6.0 l/100 km (makes 139 g CO2 per kilometer can publish), says everything about the ECE standard. The price however, is pretty high. Just under 24,000 euros to get a hot taste of the new VW Polo 2010.
