On the aesthetic level, the facelift brings slightly redesigned headlamps with LED daytime lamps and bi-xenon lights, a modified spoiler and a new grid aligned to the current brand philosophy. The back also comes with new optical blocks, LED’s, a restyled bumper and a different tailgate. All the changes will be adapted to the Performance R version as well.

Even more powerful engines, now with start-stop

Talking about the engines, the main novelty is the presence of a start-stop system as standard. The only exception is the Scirocco R and his 280 horses. In addition to more consumption efficient units , Volkswagen has decided to also increase the power available.
Therefore , the 1.4 TSI engine receives three horsepower to reach 125 , while the 2.0-liter TSI , suffers three versions of power 180, 220 and 280 bhp.
2.0-liter diesel can also be ordered with new resources : 150 and 184 horsepower.
All engines are offered with a manual gearbox, while the dual-clutch DSG is available in the entire range , except for the 1.4 TSI.

Sales of the new Volkswagen Scirocco facelift will be launched in Europe in mid-August.
