The new VW Touareg is built on a new platform which it shares largely with the new Porsche Cayenne. If the new Touareg approach was different, the German model is more easily (approximately 200 kg) and below than its predecessor.
The manufacturer says the capacities were not affected in difficult terrain, even the new Touareg and should be better, with the most powerful of the two-wheel drive systems offered.

Average consumption is 8.2 litres/100 km, but the car can run up to 50 km, only the electric motor.
The new Touareg can be purchased with a 3-liter diesel, 240 hp and 550 Nm, with an average consumption of 7.4 l/100 km, which means 2 / 100 km less than before. All Chapter Diesel offers a 4.4 liter TDI V8 that produces 340 hp and 800 Nm, in terms of average consumption of 9.1 litres/100 km.
All versions are equipped as standard with an automatic transmission, with 8 steps.
